T1. Oak - Trim back some branches by up to 1m and make the tree safe. Reason is branches fall on a regular basis and sometimes hang in the tree before falling. Since the tree hangs over the public highway I do not want to be responsible for any injury to the public. I assume the council do not either. Luckily, so far, the branches have been of sufficiently small size not to cause extensive damage, but this is a matter of time. Larger branches have fallen and luckily not caused injury. But I work in the garden on a regular basis and am always worried. I attach pictures of hanging branches. There may be others which I can?t see. After winds there are significantly more branches on the floor which indicate weakness. As well as the highway, branches also fall on my drive which have several cars parked. Up to now the damage has been minor but I do not want to take the risk. It is a matter of time till this happens. A large branch falling on a car roof an do costly damage. Kids also are on the drive and I am constantly worries. I have attached pictures of the size of branches falling to show that it could cause injury. Have also shown a picture of a hanging branch which can fall at any time. I am not only worried about falling branches causing injury to me on my drive and my cars, but more so with the general public. I do nit want to be liable, because I have brought this to the council?s attention. Tree is a nice feature, just want to make it safe and trim/remove any weak branches before they cause injury to me, my family and the public. Branches fall at a regular rate during autumn and winds.
