T1 (T42 of Order) Sycamore: Fell to ground level Reason: The Sycamore is affected by Honey Fungus, with previous fruiting bodies recorded on site and evidence of fungal activity throughout the rooting area within the canopy spread. The tree has a significant basal cavity, extending approximately 300 mm horizontally and 600 mm vertically, indicating substantial decay at the stem base. The crown is heavily weighted against the direction of lean, placing increased loading on an already compromised structure. Given the tree's condition and its location adjacent to a busy public bridleway, there are reasonable concerns regarding its long-term stability and potential risk to public safety.

Client wishes to remove the tree to ground level given it location under the larger tree and the fact its only growing towards the house. There are very limited pruning cuts available due to the species and its architecture that would rectify the spread of the tree. G1 - Cupressus - Hedge line of Western red cedar are a height of 6m in height and the client wishes to reduce them to around 3.5m in height from ground level as they are becoming large for the space and garden. To undertake targeted pruning on Lime tree T122, in order to lift the canopy of the tree a metre above the lantern B/B16/17. To achieve this, we will be removing all of the branches leading up to the main fork on the right stem of the tree. We will also be removing the small branch in between the fork of the trunk. Once we have undertaken the works listed above, if there are any small branches still in the way we will also target prune them.
