Sycamore tree on south boundary: Shorten branch length by a maximum of 3m with final pruning cuts being made to appropriate growth points, not necessarily the old cut pollard heads. The branches may not be to the maximum of 3m in length, they may be less if the location of an appropriate growth point is in a different position. The reason for this approach is to minimise stress reaction particularly because of the dry state the tree is currently in. The reason for the requested pruning intervention is because the tree is very close to the neighbours house.

The works are part of a regular maintenance program to retain the tree at a suitable size for its location and to allow retention of the tree within the available space for growth. Works will encourage a well balanced crown for future years. Front Boundary - No. 217 Side - G1 - Group of Hornbeam. Crown lift to 7 metres over highway. Crown lifting/removing low growth to maintain the statutory heights over footpaths and highways. The works are part of a regular maintenance program to retain the tree at a suitable size for its location. To allow retention of the trees within the available space for growth.

T029 - Leyland Cypress. Fell to ground level. The works are part of a regular maintenance programme to retain the trees at a suitable size for there location. Erection of a commercial workshop.
Fell T1 Beech and remove to ground level. This application is made in response to its declining condition following suspected deliberate damage and the potential consequences of failure given its proximity to neighbouring property and the road. Observed condition T1 is one of four beech trees on the site that appear to have been deliberately damaged. Multiple large holes have been drilled into the main stem of T1 at approximately 1 1.5 metres above ground level. The other three beech trees have died. T1 remains alive but is showing dieback within the crown and cracking in the bark. The drilled holes and the condition of the neighbouring trees raise a strong concern that a harmful substance may have been introduced into the stems. To replace the four affected trees, we propose to plant four suitable new trees in locations and of species to be agreed with the authority.

Pollard branches back to tall silver maple tree in front garden overhanging footpath and neighbouring property. The tree is approximately 12m wide and we will be taking it back to approximately 7m. It is approximately 10m high and we will be looking to take it back to approximately 6.5m high which is where it weas previously taken back to.
Hornbeam: Reduce crown by shortening branch length by a maximum of 2m but pruning cuts will be made to appropriate growth points as a priority, rather than removing entire branches to previous cuts. The reason is good tree management due the tree being positioned very close to the neighbours house.
T1 lime and T2 lime, 12 meters in height, re- pollard to previous points. The trees are recommended for re-pollarding to manage the dense regrowth from previous pollarding. As the new branches compete for space at the pollard heads, some can become weakly attached and fail, creating a risk of falling branches. Re-pollarding will help to manage this regrowth and maintain a stable, controlled structure.

Tree Type Beech label T2 Location: T2 1 Beech Located In the front garden of Copper Birch, Forest Drive, Kingswood Located 21 metres from Copper Birch property. Copper Beech tree is located in the front garden of Copper Birch on Forest Drive as indicated in the sketch drawing. Proposed Works Jake Meyers has proposed carrying out a 15 20% crown reduction to the mature Copper Beech. This is 1.5m off the crown and 2m from the sides. The tree is currently carrying a significant amount of end weight throughout the canopy, increasing the loading on the primary limbs. The proposed reduction will lessen the overall sail area and end weight, reducing the likelihood of branch or limb failure while retaining the trees natural shape, health and amenity value. The works will be carried out in accordance with BS3998:2010. Tree Work Recommendations using appropriate pruning cuts to maintain the long term health and structural integrity of the tree

The tree opposite numbers 39 and 43 is the most critical , requiring several branches to be cut back to achieve the minimum 5.4m headroom Surrey Highway's require over the width of Church Road used by vehicles. Tree 2 is consider to be less critical. We are not sure what type of trees both are but they are easily identifiable as being the ones concerned. The intention is to cut back to the main trunk those 2 or 3 branches both trees that are infringing the 5.4m headroom zone. Thus, the majority of the branches, which are at a much higher level, will not be touched at this time. The length of the branches to be removed is of the order of up to about 5m in order to avoid reoccurrence of the same problem within a year or so.
